Description

Plyto is a dry white wine made from the local variety Plyto 100% with Protected Geographical Indication Crete.

It has a straw-yellow color. The aromas are complex with intensity and quality and has excellent balance of flavor.

The variety Plyto is one of the famous old Cretan varieties but in recent years was in danger of extinction. A few vines scattered in old vineyards were the only ones that one could find a few years ago. By taking care of the winegrower Lyrarakis, rescued in his estate in Alagni to a significant extent, from where the homonymous wine is produced today.

Plyto is an amazing accompaniment to all seafood, a wide variety of cheeses and white meats.

The proper drinking temperature is 12 - 13 ° C.

Since 2004 until today Plyto has won awards in Europe and USA. For example the Berliner Wein Trophy 2014, Germany - Gold Medal and San Francisco International Wine Competitiion 2013, USA - Bronze Medal.
