Description

Mandilari Plakoura Red Dry Wine by Lyrarakis Winery

Mandilari Plakoura Red Dry Wine Lyrarakis by Winery is made from varieties Mandilaria100%. The vineyard in Plakoura location is a particularly privileged hillside at an altitude of 500 meters with sandy and stony ground. It has a striking deep red color and distinguished aromas of red ripe fruit and tobacco. The head-trained pruning in combination with the north-east exposure of the vineyard and plenty of sunshine, ensures that the grapes reach optimum ripeness at the time of harvest.

The thorough cultivation results in vinificating a very concentrated wine with a deep red colour, an excellent structure and a full mouth. In the nose, rich aromas of ripe cherry and dark fruits. This wine has an excellent ageing potential that can overpass 10 years.

Mandilari Plakoura Red Dry Wine Lyrarakis by Winery is a very good accompaniment to red meats, grilled meats and meat with red sauce.

The proper drinking temperature is 16 - 18 ° C.

Since 2012 Mandilari Plakoura has won awards in Europe, America and China. For example the Decanter World Wine Awards 2016 - Silver Medal and Thessaloniki International Wine Competition 2016 - Silver Medal.
