Description

Traditional handmade Cretan Sariki (Cretan Turban) in white color

An integral part of the Cretan attire and culture. In Crete a white Sariki is traditionally worn in weddings by the groom, the best man and close relatives, and in Cristenings by the baby's father and godfather.

This traditional Cretan White Sariki is hand-knitted using the techique alisidaki by Mrs Maria. She knits 2 or 3 Cretan sariki every day. The Cretan Sariki has a triangular shape and it has small knots knitted in every side. It is approximately 110 cm long although it could reach 140 cm if you stretch it while ironing.

This traditional handmade Cretan Sariki in white colour is an ideal and economical choice if you want the relatives to wear it in weddings and christenings. For orders of 10 pieces and more, you will receive a 20% discount.

This Cretan sariki is handmade and must be handled with care in order to last over the years. Please handwash, gently iron it and do not expose it in the sun.

The Cretan Sariki will be especially knitted for you upon order and you will receive it in approximately ten to fifteen days.
