Description

Amphora Liatiko Red Natural Wine Douloufakis Wines

Natural red wine, fermented and aged in amphora, without added yeasts and with minimal sulfur. Clear, with a red hue and tile-like reflections, bottled unfiltered with natural sediment. An extended maceration of over 40 days enriched it with deep tannins, while slow oxygenation through the amphora enhanced its velvety texture.

Earthy and mineral aromas, with notes of dried plum, fig, and aromatic herbs from the Cretan land. On the palate, bold tannins, fresh acidity, and flavors of maraschino cherry, black and red berries. Aged for a total of 9 months—5 in clay amphora and 4 in stainless steel tanks—preserving its authentic character.
