Kotsifali Karnari Red Dry Wine by Lyrarakis Winery is made from the variety Kotsifali 100%, undoubtedly a classical value of the Cretan vineyard. Kotsifali Karnari is a wine that encompasses the tradition of western Crete, of producing Marouvas style wines, adapting it to a more gentle style. The juice from matured Kotsifali grapes was fermented as a white wine at 14-16° C. After that, the Kotsifali Karnari Red by Lyrarakis Winery matured in re-used French barrels, where it stayed for almost 2,5 years.
The Kotsifali grape, grown in the Karnari area, gave this excellent wine, which brings forward the intense aroma of sweet fruit and spice notes, elements which reveal the long ageing in used barrels.
Kotsifali Karnari Red Dry Wine by Lyrarakis Winery accompanies exceptionally all kind of appetizers, a large variety of grilled, smoked or dried meat and fish dishes with spicy sauces.
The proper drinking temperature is 15 - 17 ° C.
